A character
to rival that of the Meg/Calliope line, and a very satisfying first
udder. We've retained her daughter
by Halifax, Scylla. I do not think there is one thing I would change
about JoJo as a second freshener--she's a nearly perfect little
gem (how appropriate.) I am particularly happy about the balance
of her udder viewed from the side--it has that lovely foreudder
extension that is so often lacking. In 2009 on her scond freshening,
our linear appraiser commented that her udder was very close to
an E this time, and would probably get there with one more freshening.
JoJo got dried off early, inadvertently (don't ask) which was a
disappointment because she seemed set to earn her star this year
on butterfat, though she might have fallen a bit short on milk this
first time on test. We expect her to earn it easily next year.
