Gaia has an interesting beginning;
I originally pulled Tsunami's kids because she was sold and was
supposed to leave before they would be old enough to wean; they
were her first kids, and I thought she would be fine with it.
She was bereft, however, and spent all day gazing soulfully out
over the pasture telling everyone that something was just missing.
After three days, she spotted her kids (whom she had never even
met) in their little pen on her way to the milk stand and "spoke"
to them...I thought, what the heck, they might as well be together,
even though they won't know how to nurse...well, Gaia and her
sister were dam raised after that, to my delight. (I hate having
bottle babies!) Their brother was not so bright. Gaia has always
been enterprising, it is clear, and she finds new and exciting
ways to show me the truth of that about once per week. Bred to
Halifax; delivered buck/doe twins in May, 2008.
