(Photo
by Declan Dean) Willow is a long anticipated addition to our herd.
Her full sister Lucille
(owned and loved, until her untimely death, by the folks at
Dill's-A Little Goat Farm) was an exquisite example of the
breed, and there are several other admirable full siblings as
well. It only took about 200 pictures to get this one without
her front legs going north and her hind legs going south; she
has a will of iron. Second freshening udder shown below. Bred
to Incredible Hunk, a repeat
line breeding on Luck of the Draw; delivered buck/doe
twins on 2/25/07. Willow's second udder is much much
wider and more capacious; the more I milk it, the more I love
it. It is hard to think how I would improve it; maybe a touch
more division. High test day was 4.5 pounds of milk at 3 weeks
fresh, with 5% butterfat.
Willow
is now co-owned and lives with Addie and Joe at Proctor
Hill Farm.
